David Vaughn David Vaughn has been a producer, operating officer, entrepreneur, entertainer, and event manager with a variety of industries and non-profit organizations. With New York City Off-Track Betting Corporation, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating officer, managing a one billion dollar budget. He was featured in CIO Magazine and donned the cover in their December 1991 issue. With Coors Brewing Company, he paved the way for the introduction of Coors Beer and Coors Light to the Northeast Market, creating opportunities for Coors to enter the various communities, smoothing out rough territories and soothing hostile critics prior to the product entering this particular marketplace. With Pfizer Inc, the pharmaceutical wizards, he was responsible for creating community relations and community affairs in all the communities where Pfizer resided thereby allowing the company to operate in a non-hostile and friendly atmosphere. His entertainment career began, after teaching creating writing and drama in the Baltimore Public Schools, by being part of the road management team with the Jackson Five, and then moved on to producing entertainment fundraisers for the United Negro College Fund. He was a part of the team that created "A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste," and the UNCF Telethon, which is still successful around the country. He was president and impresario for Opera Ebony in New York City and is Chief Operating Officer and producer for Americolor Opera Company in Atlanta, GA. He has performed with both companies. As an actor, he has been in over 20 plays and has directed and produced even more. He has been the emcee for hundreds of shows, stage manager, production manager, and a concert artist himself. He was the editor for ROUTES, a Guide to Black Entertainment, Better Business, a magazine for minority businesses. He presently directs and produces plays and small opera productions in the Northeast area and particularly in Atlanta. He is an event planner, caterer, travel agent, and financial advisor and teaches "Money Management" in the Atlanta Area. |
